The requirements listed below must be verified by submitting a copy of each attendee’s TCOLE Personal Status Report to the SFST State Coordinator (David.mcgarah@txsfst.org). In order to be placed on the attendee list\, you will have to have ALL requirements already met for the date of the course (ie Two year refresher MUST NOT expire before 3/2023). \nThe Texas SFST Training Program offers a FREE 50-hour Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor Course (TCOLE 1016) to licensed Texas Peace Officers. This training follows the NHTSA and IACP nationally standardized curriculum and prepares Texas Peace Officers to instruct fellow officers on how to properly administer and interpret the results of the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing battery. This is a five day\, 50-hour course that will require full participation and demonstration\, as well as time dedicated outside of the classroom. Wet labs with live drinkers will be utilized in this course to give officers additional “real life” experience and practice in administering the SFST test battery. \nPlease note: \nAll participants must successfully pass a proficiency exam at the beginning of this course in order to continue. DESCRIPTION:THIS COURSE IS FULL \nYOU ARE NOT REGISTERED UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL \nThis training follows the NHTSA and IACP nationally standardized curriculum and prepares Texas Peace Officers to instruct the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course and SFST Refresher. This is a five day\, 50-hour course that will require full participation and demonstration\, as well as time dedicated outside of the classroom. \nPlease note:\nParticipants are required to pass an SFST proficiency exam at the beginning of the course.
