FULL Pasadena FREE 50-HR SFST Instructor Course – 1016

YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL.

This training follows the NHTSA and IACP nationally standardized curriculum and prepares Texas Peace Officers to instruct the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course and SFST Refresher. This is a five day, 50-hour course that will require full participation and demonstration, as well as time dedicated outside of the classroom.

Please note:
Participants are required to pass an SFST proficiency exam at the beginning of the course. Those who do not pass, will be dismissed and will not receive course credit.

To apply and be confirmed to attend, registrants must meet all the criteria below at the time of registration:

1. Currently commissioned Texas Peace Officer
2. Successful completion of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course, 2176 or 2067; or the SFST taken with Academy
3. Three years of experience as a Standardized Field Sobriety Testing practitioner
4. SFST Refresher, ARIDE, or DRE In-Service within the last 2 years
5.  Awarded a TCOLE Basic Instructor Proficiency license or certificate.

Course Schedule:

Monday : 8:00AM-5:00PM

Tuesday : 8:00AM-5:00PM

Wednesday : 8:00AM-9:00PM

Thursday : 8:00AM-9:00PM

Friday: 8:00AM-5:00PM

2 additional hours are to be spent outside of the classroom as preparation time for presentations.
